People Ask What Makes us Sicilian

Each liter of our flavor selection is handcrafted on Sicilian soil. From the cows that provide the milk, to the lemons, berries, and nuts in our recipes, to the gelato masters who create each flavor, Palermo Gelato is Sicilian through and through. A taste of our gelato is a taste of the region where gelato was invented and where it is enjoyed to this day.

Our mission is to transform the market for ice cream through encounters with artisanal gelato, in order to share the taste of Sicily with the world.

Palermo Gelato builds on the De Martino family legacy in the food industry.

My family has been in Sicily for generations; the flavors and ingredients of the region are vital to our heritage. I founded Palermo Gelato in 2016 with the vision to share the artisanal gelato of Palermo, everywhere. Our gelato is for anyone and everyone who’s curious for a taste of Sicily and we’re so excited to share each of our flavors.

Our gelato

All our different ice cream varieties are made from the best ingredients from southern Italy to ensure a unique Italian taste experience. The ice cream, known in the south as “gelato”, is also produced in Italy by a local producer who traditionally makes the ice cream from an old recipe and good ingredients - in true Italian style. Italians are known for gastronomic quality and this is truly noticeable when you first taste one of our fantastic flavors.
